buzzd is a location-sensitive city guide designed for your web-enabled mobile phone, featuring events and reviews from Flavorpill, Time Out, Citysearch, and more.
Does it cost anything to use buzzd?
buzzd is a free service. However, depending on your mobile plan, standard text messaging and data charges may apply. Check with your carrier for details.
Do I need to download anything to use buzzd?
No. buzzd is a mobile web (or WAP) site, so no download is necessary. All you need is a web-enabled phone.
How does buzzd work?
buzzd brings together events, venue listings, and dining information from a variety of sources to give you the ultimate local guide you can take anywhere. Connect with your friends and buzz to share real-time location-based updates via text message.
What is a buzz?
A buzz is a real-time review posted by a buzzd member from an event or venue near you. Its your key to finding out what's actually going on inside, so you can decide where to go without having to guess what it will be like.
What's the difference between my dashboard and my profile?
Your dashboard can only be seen by you. Its the place to check messages, find and invite friends, see whats up at your favorite venues, as well as edit your profile and settings.
Your profile is your public face on buzzd, which can be seen by other buzzd users (or just by your friends, if you choose). You can share as much or as little about yourself as you want.
What are favorite venues?
Favorite Venues: Click 'add to favorites' from any venue page to view events and the latest buzz right from your dash.
Can I control who can message me?
Yes. Your privacy settings (accessible from your dashboard) let you control who can send you messages and view your profile.
I don't live in the US. Can I still use buzzd?
buzzd is continually expanding. In addition to all major US cities, we have listings in Toronto, London and Paris. If you don't see content in your city, let us know and we'll work on it.
