In Short

The scene is so typically Gotham, it looks like a New Yorker cartoon waiting for a caption. Dogs line the sidewalk as their masters score a caffeine fix. Inside, folks read the Times as they nurse their way back from a hangover with OJ and Irish oatmeal. Although every table is full, the pushy waitstaff will make sure that by the time you reach the front of the line to order a classic BLT, you'll have a place to park. In addition to sandwiches (juicy Phillys, grilled cheese with ham), the Dog also does a brisk breakfast business, and delivers, too. As the people who run it say, "Four legs are quicker than two."
