In Short

The space, located off Madison Square Park, is a big, loud glass cube decorated with stainless steel, lacquer and Eames swivel aluminum chairs. When chef Andrew Carmellini (Lespinasse, Le Cirque, Café Boulud) hits his marks, he produces some awesome dishes. The duck meatballs, a delicious starter, feature foie gras centers and a dried-cherry glaze. Primis include veal tortelloni Milanese with fennel, citrus and gaeta olives, while grilled tuna with rapini pasta, roasted peppers and oranges, and braised veal with polenta, gremolata and orange are among the secondi. Citrus reappears on the dessert menu, too, in a tiramisu with Meyer lemon crema and limoncello.
