In Short

From the art on the walls to the home-grown celebrity DJs in the booth to the crowd-pleasing camp on the stage, it's a peerless social haven for fun-loving, artsy freaks and those who love them.The DrawShowing staples like Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Dina Martina, and performances from the Brown Derby Series, Re-bar has been a mainstay of alternative theater in the Seattle area. Though usually dark and noisy there's something different going on nearly every night of the week here.

From "queer recontextualizations" of Shakespeare to staged readings of schlocky horror-movie scripts, the stage is routinely graced with the edgiest smart comedy in Seattle.
